Launch of the call for applications for les Margaret Awards at JFD GABON

To encourage women and girls to participate massively in les Margaret Awards, promotion 2023 “Invest in Her”, JFD Gabon under the supervision of its Ambassador Camélia NTOUTOUME-LECLERCQ, Minister of National Education in charge of Civic Training of Gabon, organised a special meeting in Libreville, on 9 December 2022.

Guests of honour: Ariane AKERET, co-founder of CA PAY & Margaret Entrepreneur Africa 2022 and Ludovic DONATI, Director of Digital Transformation and Performance at ERAMET.

 

Guillaume Guessan MBADINGA, Deputy Director in charge of JFD GABON Projects, reviewed the activities and objectives set with its partner COMILOG, which will soon be exceeded. Indeed, in 2021, at the opening of JFD GABON, Comilog committed to supporting the growth accelerator in Libreville to train 500 women in digital, launch 5 startups led by women and increase the number of Gabonese applications for les Margaret Awards by 2024.

Today, JFD GABON is :

  • More than 320 women trained.
  • Support for the launch of 3 startups founded by women.
  • A winner of les Margaret Awards: Ariane AKERET, founder of CA PAY.
  • A finalist in les Margaret Junior Awards: Maylis KOUAKOUA.

 

Ariane AKERET and Ludovic DONATI took part in a Q&A session, moderated by Guillaume MBADINGA and Gaëlle MOUGUIMBA, JFD Gabon Public Relations Manager. It was an exciting time of exchange with the women present, who came to get inspired before submitting their applications for les Margaret Awards.
