JFD CANADA

Forging strong links with key players in Canada to support digital women

To create an international dynamic and build bridges between continents, JFD is extending the impact of its actions in Europe, Africa and, since 2023, in Canada.

With the support of local partners and organisations such as the Abeona network, Bleu Blanc Tech, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Canada and the French Consulate in Montreal, we are taking concrete actions in Quebec to influence future policies and promote an innovative, sustainable and equitable economy, where women dare, innovate and create value for our societies.

Transatlantic cooperation and ecosystems

  • French Consulate in Montreal
During her visit to Montreal in June 2023, Delphine Remy-Boutang, founder of JFD, was hosted by the French Consulate in Montreal for a networking breakfast in her honour. This visit enabled JFD to surround itself with leading economic players, organisations and institutions for its initial roll-out in Quebec.

JFD took part in the report published on 8 March, "Women and Innovation: Encouraging female entrepreneurship and increasing the role of women in tech - A French-Canadian perspective", listing the French and Canadian initiatives taken by incubators, investors, associations, companies and startups to promote women in the tech ecosystem. This is also at that time that was launched the ABEONA Network, the first Franco-Canadian network (of which JFD is a member) for those involved in diversity in innovation in France and Canada.

  • French Chamber of Commerce in Canada
The French Chamber of Commerce in Canada has integrated the 2023 winners of the Margaret awards (by JFD) into its accelerator :  "Le Transatlantique" (worth €10,000). Ultimately, this will enable these European and African women entrepreneurs to get a better grasp of how to roll out their activities on the Canadian market.
