From Exclusion to Inclusion: How Samia Gentil, Founder of CibliJob, Puts AI at the Service of Humanity

You have over 15 years of experience in recruitment and talent development. What inspired you to create your own companies, and later CibliJob?

You know, after 15 years in recruitment, I found myself facing a frustrating reality every day: candidates unable to find jobs, and companies struggling to recruit. The problem? Candidates don’t always know how to highlight their skills – and especially the right ones that match the job offer. And when you’re not confident with writing or digital tools, it becomes even harder. In France, 8 million people are affected by digital illiteracy. These people have experience and know-how, but they remain invisible. They’re not “less capable” candidates, just “less visible” ones. CibliJob is my way of building the bridge that was missing between these two worlds.

You use AI to give access to employment to people who are often forgotten. Would you say that’s your way of embodying what “United by Tech” means?

Absolutely. For me, “United by Tech” really means using technology to bring people together, not to exclude them further. We can clearly see the paradox: recruitment tools are becoming increasingly digital, and as a result, they leave behind those who don’t master these codes. With the job booths we launched a month and a half ago, we’re doing the opposite. AI becomes an ally that helps candidates showcase their skills and structure their career paths in a way that finally makes them visible. It’s a kind of digital boost that gives them the same opportunities as everyone else. Turning a tool of exclusion into a tool of inclusion – that’s exactly what I want to achieve with CibliJob.

How are companies responding to your approach? Are they ready to rethink their practices to promote more inclusive recruitment?

Honestly, since the launch a month and a half ago, I’ve been pleasantly surprised. We’ve already completed several hires through the booths, and it’s great to see it actually working. What really helps is that companies had already noticed that their traditional job ads weren’t effective for certain roles. We’re addressing a genuine need they’ve been feeling. The shortage of candidates is also pushing them to be more open. It’s still early days, but what encourages me is that companies are hearing about us and reaching out to test the solution. Some even come directly to see the booths. There’s real curiosity and a willingness to try new approaches.

The JFD Club can be seen as a kind of “talent booth”. In your view, how does our network help reveal the potential of women in Tech?

I love that comparison – it’s spot on! I joined the JFD Club two months ago, so I’m still in the discovery phase, but my first impressions are really positive. We’ve already started building connections with major companies and exchanging ideas about our projects in tech. Maybe I should actually install a booth at JFD! More seriously, what strikes me is the Club’s ability to reveal what’s already there. It’s a space to be visible, to share our innovations, and to connect with the right people. In a sector that’s still largely male-dominated, being among women who understand your challenges makes a huge difference. The exchanges are genuine and concrete. That’s exactly what we need to dare to go further and amplify the impact of our projects.

If you had one piece of advice to give to a woman who wants to start her own business or innovate in HR, what would it be?

I’d say: DARE. Start before you feel 100% ready, because that moment will never come. I’m living proof! I support people who don’t have a perfect background but do have the skills. And me? I don’t tick every box either. But I launched the booths a month and a half ago, joined the JFD Club two months ago, and I’m moving forward. We often want to master everything before we start. If I had waited for that, I’d still be planning. Surround yourself quickly, share your doubts, join networks. Your hands-on experience is gold. Don’t try to copy an existing model – create your own. Dare, with your imperfections. Legitimacy comes from doing, not waiting.
